Scars don’t make us weak, they are what make us.

Life deals every person some amount of wounds.  From a young age I acquired and built up scars both emotional and physical.
As a young boy I thought this was pretty cool.
Do you like your scars, or hate them?

Scars Make me who I am

Growing older I began seeing my scars more with disdain, as they became constant reminders of my past. Now as an adult that has 2 daughters I seem them differently. My wounds were not just mistakes or injuries, they are symbolic of how I became the man I am today.

Don’t be afraid to show up because you want to avoid bruises or wounds. These injuries today could be what makes you stronger for tomorrow.

  1. My scars and bruises remind me of the choices I have made today to be the person I am today. To continually choice morals and integrity. To be the person I am today. The woman I can look in the mirror and say I love you too and be quite proud of her. My scars and my bruises did not make me who I am today, they have only been the building blocks that I have used to reinforce who I am.

    1. I like how you say they are building blocks on who you are.. Maybe that is more an appropriate term that they are part of who we are and not what make us.

Let us know what you think.....
